Vintage Sewing Cabinet

I haven't done any furniture makeovers since November...Yikes!!
So I thought I'd share this little sewing cabinet I finish last fall....

Found her earlier in the summer at a garage sale....so when I came across this sweet image of a girl sewing at Graphic Fairy I instantly knew where it belonged.

The first thing I did was paint it with homemade chalk paint...The color is a lovely blue gray called "Rain Drop" by Bher.

I used the same Mod Podge transfer method that I always use.  You can find the complete instructions HERE.

Not sure what is is about vintage sewing cabinets and boxes but I just can't say no to them....I must not be the only one because this little gal sold right away.  :)

The weather has been fridged  this last week but I'm in the mood to paint...so I think I'll work on something small that I can do indoors.  :)  But it is defiantly time for me to get back into the painting groove!!!
Have a great weekend!

I will be linking to the parties in my side bar!!  :)

  3. She is a cutie! I have a small one that I repainted. Been wanting to put an image on it. It doesn't have a base. The first time I did the Modge Podge method it turned out great. The second time a lot of the image wiped off. I'll have to check out your instructions and see if they differ. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
    hugs,
